MCNPX-PoliMi Workshop, 2018 (Advanced)

The Consortium for Verification Technology (CVT) is hosting the Eighth MCNPX-PoliMi Training Workshop at the University of Michigan campus on June 15, 2018.

Seating is Limited. Registration will be accepted on first-come-first serve basis. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This one-day workshop will instruct users in advanced features of the MCNPX-PoliMi code. Workshop registration fees are $50 to cover hosting.

Topics to be covered:

  • MCNPX-PoliMi introduction
  • MCNPX-PoliMi source capabilities
  • Implementation of the FREYA fission model
  • Photonuclear physics capabilities
  • Variance reduction for photonuclear interrogation

Laptops are not required, however, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop to run examples shown by the instructors. Computer equipment is not provided.
