Brianne Heisinger

Brianne Heisinger, from St. Louis, MO, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in May 2014. She is currently a NERS master’s student working with Professor K.J. Kearfott within the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Brianne’s research interests include medical physics and imaging technology. Her current research involves working with a radiochemical engineer from Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop a method for detecting fission fragments from long-lived, transuranic isotopes in solid state track detectors. Outside of academia, Brianne enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her fiancée.
