Matthew J. Marcath is a third year Ph.D. student in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan. He has four years of experience working with MCNP and MCPNX-PoliMi simulations since he joined the Detection for Nuclear Nonproliferation Group. His research focus is in developing variance reduction techniques and in improving nuclear data for MCNPX-PoliMi simulations. He is the first author in one submitted journal article, co-authored two articles, and authored or co-authored six conference papers.
