Title: Detector development for improved measurements of prompt fission neutrons

Paragraph: Measurements of the spectra and correlations of neutrons produced in fission depend on well characterized detectors with superior performance. In this internship, several neutron detectors would be studied with the LANL 252Cf fission chamber, which has a much greater intensity than that available at universities. The detectors will include stilbene, liquid scintillators and lithium-glass scintillators. Monte Carlo modeling of the detector response will be carried out and compared with the experimental data.
