Jayson Vavrek is originally from Alberta, Canada, where he completed his B.Sc. in physics and carried out research in computational particle physics. In September 2015 he entered MIT as a doctoral candidate in nuclear science and engineering, working on the Zero Knowledge warhead verification protocol. Outside of research and academics, he is involved with ice hockey, volleyball, and rock climbing.
