Alexis is a 5th year graduate student in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences. He joined the DNNG as an intern in April 2009 to perform research on a large-scale Compton camera for nonproliferation applications. Alexis started his Ph.D. in the winter of 2010, focusing his research on the conception and construction of a fast-neutron and gamma-ray imaging system. His research also includes extensive work on the data-acquisition capabilities of the group. He has background in mechanical and industrial engineering from his undergraduate studies.
