EVENT DESCRIPTION

The Consortium for Verification Technology (CVT) and CAEN Electronic Instrumentations invite you to participate in a unique training session to be held on campus at the University of Michigan.

At this event you will interact with CAEN engineers who will discuss their products and will be available address particular problems you may have encountered using CAEN equipment. You are invited to bring your equipment during the hands-on sessions. The Detection for Nuclear Nonproliferation Group (DNNG) will also have some equipment available for use during these sessions. The following topics will be discussed:

  • Digitizers overview – Models, Features, Architectures
  • Digitizers for Physics Applications – Scalability, Synchronization
  • Digital Pulse Processing (DPP) – Pulse Shape Discrimination
  • Coincidence operation mode
  • Multi Parametric DAQ: simultaneous acquisition of Energy, Time and Shape from one board
